MEET THE OWNERS

My name is Stefanie Smith and I own the Alpha-Lit Detroit location. Initially, I was looking to rent big marquee lights for an event I was planning, but couldn’t find anything in the area. That’s when I stumbled upon the Alpha-Lit brand and decided to bring it to Detroit. I am a hopeless romantic who spends her spare time browsing photos of wedding receptions on social media and Pinterest, mixed with a professional event planner and event attendee, as well as a nonprofit management professional. I love an event space that makes mouths drop and forces people to say wow. I wanted to provide Detroiters with beautiful marquee letters, numbers, and symbols for their events. My hope was to light up Detroit with Alpha-Lit, during such a dark time (beginning of Covid). And from this, Alpha-Lit Detroit was born.
